Kim Shin-young Steps Down from ‘National Singing Contest’… Final Recording in Incheon on the 9th

Broadcaster Kim Shin-young will be stepping down as the MC of ‘National Singing Contest’.

C-JeS Studio informed ‘Dispatch’ during a phone call on the 4th, “Kim Shin-young will have her last recording on the 9th. Last week, she received a notice of MC departure from KBS.”

They continued, “The production team was also surprised to receive the notice of MC change and contacted us. Kim Shin-young plans to energetically participate in the recording with the production team she has been running with across the country for 2 years.”

Kim Shin-young started as the MC of ‘National Singing Contest’ on October 16, 2022, succeeding the late Song Hae and became the program’s first female presenter.

After 1 year and 6 months, she will be leaving her position. The final recording will take place at the Incheon Metropolitan City Human Resources Development Institute. With the Incheon Seo-gu episode, she will say her final goodbye to the viewers.

Meanwhile, ‘National Singing Contest’ is a long-standing representative entertainment show on KBS-1TV. Past MCs include Lee Han-pil, Lee Sang-yong, Choi Sun-gyu, and Song Hae (for 34 years). Kim Shin-young was the youngest among them.
