'Blackpink' member Rosé has been selected as one of the '100 Most Influential People' by a prominent American media outlet.
The weekly magazine 'TIME' announced the 'TIME 100' list on the 17th (Korean time). The list categorizes individuals into artists, icons, leaders, pioneers, and innovators.
Rosé was chosen as one of the pioneers, alongside figures such as Demis Hassabis, CEO of Google DeepMind, Australian tycoon Andrew Forrest, and Liang Wenpeng, CEO of Deepseek.
Hollywood actress Lily Collins introduced Rosé, recalling their first meeting at a fashion show in Paris last year, stating, "I realized he is such a wonderful person."
She described the group member and solo artist as a "dynamic performer" and expressed her fortune in being able to call Rosé a friend.
In addition to Rosé, Lee Jae-myung, former leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, was included in the leaders' section of the 'TIME 100'. Korean-American Hollywood actor Daniel Dae Kim was also featured in the artists' section.
Meanwhile, TIME has been selecting and publishing the 'TIME 100' since 2004. Figures such as former Presidents Park Geun-hye, Moon Jae-in, and Yoon Suk-yeol, as well as director Bong Joon-ho and actress Youn Yuh-jung, have made the list.
