It has changed the solo dominance of 'Battle' (Director Kim Hyung-joo), which had maintained the top spot since its release on the 26th of last month. With the release of 'Opposition,' 'Battle' has dropped to second place.
'Opposition' is a crime action genre film. It intertwines the stories of a drug broker, an ambitious prosecutor, and a detective who is genuinely committed to eradicating crime, each with different goals.
The film has received praise as the 'Inside Men' of the drug world. 'Opposition' currently has a viewer rating of 96% on the CGV Golden Egg index as of the 17th, indicating strong expectations for sustained success.
Meanwhile, 'Bridget Jones's Diary: New Chapter' (Director Michael Morris), which was released on the same day as 'Opposition,' attracted 3,166 viewers nationwide.
