The movie 'Opposition' (Director Hwang Byeong-guk) has begun its box office race, starting off at number one. According to the integrated computer network for movie ticket sales from the Korean Film Council, 'Opposition' attracted 85,661 viewers on its opening day, which was the 16th. The cumulative audience count now stands at 104,504.

It has changed the solo dominance of 'Battle' (Director Kim Hyung-joo), which had maintained the top spot since its release on the 26th of last month. With the release of 'Opposition,' 'Battle' has dropped to second place.

'Opposition' is a crime action genre film. It intertwines the stories of a drug broker, an ambitious prosecutor, and a detective who is genuinely committed to eradicating crime, each with different goals.

The film has received praise as the 'Inside Men' of the drug world. 'Opposition' currently has a viewer rating of 96% on the CGV Golden Egg index as of the 17th, indicating strong expectations for sustained success.

Meanwhile, 'Bridget Jones's Diary: New Chapter' (Director Michael Morris), which was released on the same day as 'Opposition,' attracted 3,166 viewers nationwide.
