“Oh, like a fucking thing” Bank representative swears during customer consultation

Bank Counselor Apologizes After Cursing at Customer

A report claims that a bank counselor cursed during a phone consultation with a customer, as reported by JTBC's "Incident Manager."

The informant called the bank's customer center to lift a transfer limit and asked the counselor how to use the app. However, when the counselor's explanation didn’t match the actual screen, the counselor cursed, saying "Damn it." The counselor then repeated, "You damn thing."

When the informant questioned this, the counselor denied it. After hanging up, the informant checked the recording of the call using their phone's automatic recording feature and posted the content of the curses on the bank’s customer bulletin board.

Subsequently, a bank manager called the informant directly, acknowledged the use of curses by saying, "I listened to the recording," and apologized. The manager stated, "I apologize for not providing proper employee training."

The counselor who had used the curse also made two calls to apologize. He said, "It was a word that came out habitually. I didn’t realize I was cursing at the time," adding, "My mistake could cause trouble for my team. Please forgive me."

The informant revealed that during the second call, when the counselor apologized with a trembling voice, they wrapped up the incident by saying, "Don't do that next time."

The bank's customer center announced that they plan to take follow-up actions, including applying a penalty in the CS evaluation and reflecting it in the performance review of the counselor who used the curse.
