Busan Pedestrian Crash, Two Pedestrians Severely Injured
A 70-year-old woman driving a Mercedes-Benz crashed into pedestrians after veering onto the sidewalk in Busan.
As a result of the incident, two pedestrians were seriously injured, one of whom, a 70-year-old woman, was reported to have been transported to the hospital in a state of cardiac arrest.

According to the Busan Southern Police Station, the accident occurred around 4:12 PM on the road in front of an apartment complex in the Suyeong-gu area of Busan on the 8th.
The rapidly speeding vehicle struck two female pedestrians on the sidewalk before colliding with a food truck and overturning.
The two injured pedestrians were urgently transported to the hospital. Both the driver of the Mercedes-Benz and the food truck driver sustained minor injuries.
Among the pedestrians taken to the hospital, one 70-year-old woman was transported in a state of cardiac arrest and is reported to be in critical condition.

Driver Claims "Loss of Vehicle Control," Investigation Underway
The driver, a 70-year-old woman identified as A, told police during the investigation that “there was a minor collision with a taxi before the accident, and after that, I couldn’t control the vehicle.”
At the time of the accident, it was confirmed that A was not under the influence of alcohol.
Police are currently securing statements from the driver and witnesses, as well as analyzing the vehicle’s black box to ascertain the exact circumstances of the accident.
They plan to investigate whether the loss of vehicle control claimed by the driver actually occurred, or if there were issues related to driver inexperience or other causes.
