Status of Character Information Changes on Domestic and International Portals
First Lady Kim Geon-hee's title was also changed to "former first lady."
Not only domestic portals but also the overseas search engine Google updated the information to reflect that former President Yoon is the "former president of the Republic of Korea."
In Google, Kim Geon-hee is introduced as "the spouse of the 20th president of the Republic of Korea and a businesswoman."

Meanwhile, on the same morning at 11 AM, the Constitutional Court held a ruling on the impeachment trial against former President Yoon and unanimously accepted the National Assembly's impeachment motion.
The effect of the impeachment takes effect immediately upon the ruling, meaning that from this point on, former President Yoon has lost the presidency.
This impeachment ruling by the Constitutional Court marks the second instance in the constitutional history of the Republic of Korea, following the removal of former President Park Geun-hye in 2017.
According to the Constitutional Court's decision, the government will be run under the acting Prime Minister Han Duck-soo's leadership, and a presidential election is expected to be held within 60 days.
