Park Ji-won: "The Constitutional Court's Decision on President Yoon's Impeachment on April 4th 'Sasi'… 'Death' is written three times"
Park Ji-won, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, has sparked controversy by stating that the impeachment ruling date for President Yoon Seok-yeol, scheduled for April 4th, means "the death character appears three times, so there is no doubt he will die."
On the 1st, during an appearance on YTN Radio's "Shin Yul's News Face-off,” Park claimed, "It's a clear insurrection coup. Is there really a Constitutional Court judge who would submit a dismissal or termination opinion? I see it as 8 to 0 in favor of impeachment."

He further stated, "The ruling on President Yoon’s impeachment will be at 11 AM on April 4th. 11 AM is 'Sasi (巳時)'". He emphasized, "In 4·4·death, the character for death (死) appears three times, so he will undoubtedly die."
In particular, Park added, "A Constitutional Court judge who issues a dismissal or termination opinion will be a historical criminal and a 'second Lee Wan-yong,' and their descendants will never be able to live in South Korea."
"If it’s 8 to 0, it shouldn’t take long, right?"
When asked whether it wouldn't take long if it were 8 to 0, Park explained, "The Constitutional Court judges have finished the hearings early and continued deliberating because the public is divided… They considered various factors."

Additionally, Park mentioned the issue of appointing the Constitutional Court nominee, Ma Eun-hyuk. He stressed, "He must be appointed," asserting, "Han Duck-soo, in his capacity as acting prime minister, returned in accordance with the constitution. Thus, he is someone who has benefited from the constitution and has the responsibility to uphold it."
He explained that despite the legitimate recommendation from the National Assembly and even a ruling from the Constitutional Court to appoint Ma Eun-hyuk, not doing so would mean that someone who has benefited from the constitution is abandoning it.

Meanwhile, upon learning of Park's remarks, Kwon Seong-dong, floor leader of the People Power Party, harshly criticized him, saying, "Is a politician pretending to be a shaman and flinging around such statements?"
During a party meeting on the 3rd, Kwon stated, "Before the impeachment ruling for President Yoon, the Democratic Party is causing chaos with their refusal and extreme remarks," adding, "The language of politicians resembles that of drunken gangsters. The Democratic Party is essentially declaring their refusal, leading to a public uprising against the unjust ruling of the Constitutional Court."
He continued, "(Park) made an extreme statement saying that 11 AM on April 4th, when the impeachment hearings take place, is 'Sasi' and that he will 'undoubtedly die.' Is a politician acting as a shaman now?"
Kwon also noted, "The Democratic Party, spewing such extreme statements, seems to be lost in delusions as if they were freedom fighters or guardians of justice. In reality, it's incitement to insurrection and merely a loyalty competition to flatter the aspirations of their leader for power." He asserted, "On the other hand, the leadership of the People Power Party has consistently stated they will accept any outcome. It is clear who truly upholds constitutional governance."
