The latest model of the Volkswagen Golf, known as the icon of hatchbacks, has been unveiled.

On the 14th, Volkswagen Korea held a media launch event at the Grand Ballroom of Incheon Inspire Entertainment Resort to showcase the new Golf.

At the event, Till Scheer, CEO of Volkswagen Group Korea, presented the vehicle.

Till Scheer stated, "The Golf has been the core of the Volkswagen brand for the past half century, providing the highest level of technology and reasonable mobility to everyone."

He added, "The new Golf, enhanced with more refined technology and design, will be a model that provides the highest level of satisfaction for customers looking for a premium compact car."

The new Golf is the first model in the Golf lineup to feature a front illuminated logo. The lighting running across the front radiator grille seamlessly connects with the illuminated logo, creating a stylish and confident front image.

The IQ Light, which encompasses advanced lighting technology, and the LED matrix headlamps stand out prominently.

With the LED matrix headlamps and intelligent lighting control features such as 'Dynamic Light Assist' and 'Dynamic Cornering Light,' the model is designed to minimize the impact on other drivers while illuminating a wider area, ensuring safe and comfortable driving and cornering.

Lighting has been applied to all door handles, and the logo projection at the bottom of the side mirrors adds a luxurious touch.

The rear has been upgraded with newly designed LED rear combination lamps, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics.

With a bolder and sturdier design of the front bumper and a new 18-inch Catania wheel design, a sportier image has been achieved.

From the sleek front end to the iconic lighting that stands out at the rear, the new Golf showcases its signature refined design and perfect silhouette proportions.

The interior is filled with safety and convenience specifications designed to provide the optimal driving environment for the driver.

Through a 10.2-inch digital cockpit, drivers can check the vehicle's condition and driving information, and a windshield-type head-up display supports convenient and safe driving.

The subtle silver-colored stylish interior decor trim and the harmony of 30 different color ambient lights create an atmosphere that exudes various charms depending on the situation.

Additionally, the convenience of frequently used features such as wireless app connect and mobile wireless charging has been enhanced.

The new MIB4 infotainment system can be described as the most significant evolution of the new Golf's interior. The 12.9-inch large touchscreen display offers excellent visibility along with fast and intuitive operation.

The interface is divided into three parts and supports customization. An illuminated touch slider for controlling temperature and volume has been added, making it easy to operate even during nighttime driving.

A voice enhancer function has been added with a hands-free microphone so that the driver's voice can be transmitted to rear-seat passengers. This allows for convenient communication with passengers in the back even in noisy environments.

Ergonomically designed Ergo Active electric seats are also notable. The Ergo Active seats, which come standard on all trims, feature memory, massage, and ventilation functions, providing optimal comfort in any driving environment.

The new Golf comes standard with Volkswagen's most advanced ADAS feature, IQ Drive, across all trims.

The 'Travel Assist' and 'Adaptive Cruise Control,' which maintains a safe distance from the vehicle in front, can operate effectively at speeds ranging from a standstill to 210 kilometers per hour.

In addition to this, features like 'Emergency Assist' provide a variety of advanced specifications for top-notch safety.

Notably, the Prestige trim has been newly equipped with the advanced parking assistance function, Park Assist Plus, which can handle various urban parking environments without the driver's intervention.

Thanks to Volkswagen's renowned engineering techniques from Germany and innovative fuel efficiency, the new Golf is expected to provide a satisfying driving experience.

The new Golf delivers a maximum output of 150 horsepower, thanks to the combination of a 2.0 TDI engine and a 7-speed DSG transmission, especially showcasing a powerful maximum torque of 36.7kgm in a wide practical range from 1600 to 2750 rpm, offering efficient and strong driving power in various environments.

High fuel efficiency is still evident in the new model. The combined fuel economy on highways is an impressive 17.3 kilometers per liter, boasting top efficiency in its segment.

The introduction of three new colors—Crystal Ice Blue Metallic, Oyster Silver Metallic, and Anemone Blue Metallic—broadens the selection for consumers.

The Premium trim features standard 17-inch Nottingham wheels, while the Prestige trim comes equipped with 18-inch Canatia wheels.

The pricing for the new Golf has been set at 40.07 million won for the Premium trim and 43.96 million won for the Prestige trim. Despite the new design and enhanced advanced specifications, the increase in price has been minimized.

Furthermore, a 5-year/150,000-kilometer warranty extension program, support for accident repairs, total care services, and registration fee assistance for the launch have also reduced the financial burden of vehicle maintenance.
