Actor Jung Il-woo has engaged in volunteer activities for underprivileged youth in Vietnam. The Korean Red Cross announced on the 27th that Jung Il-woo, who is active as their ambassador, conducted his second overseas volunteer activity in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, with members of the Red Cross Youth (RCY).

Jung Il-woo participated in the ‘Youth Mentoring Overseas Volunteer Activities’ in Vietnam from the 16th to the 23rd. He volunteered alongside 53 middle school, high school, and university students from Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon, and Gangwon regions.

Jung visited elementary and high schools in the Ho Chi Minh area. He held Korean language classes, handwashing classes, and music classes, directly teaching the students.

To improve the aging school environment, he painted murals. He also spent time making Korean food with the students and delivered school supply sets called ‘Friendship Boxes’ to the youth.

Jung stated, “I had meaningful time with the students. I learned a lot by observing the youth who participated alongside me,” and added, “I will continue to participate in Red Cross activities to spread positive influence.”

Meanwhile, Jung Il-woo was appointed as the ambassador for the Korean Red Cross in 2023.
