Actor Park Bo-gum is set to make a fresh start as a music talk show MC.
KBS-2TV's "The Seasons" is a late-night music program that adopts a seasonal format. It kicked off with "Jay Park's Drive" in February 2023.
Following that were "Jung Jae-hyung's Park of the Night," "AKMU's Onal Ovam," "Lee Hyori's Red Carpet," "Zico's Artist," and "Lee Young-ji's Rainbow," each having a unique MC who bridged the gap between musicians and viewers.
The protagonist of the 7th season is Park Bo-gum. The title is "Park Bo-gum's Cantabile." Cantabile is a musical term meaning "in a singing style." Park Bo-gum himself proposed this title.
The title also connects with the KBS-2TV music drama "Tomorrow's Cantabile," which he appeared in 11 years ago. Since his debut, Park Bo-gum has consistently shown his love for music by participating in various OSTs.
He showcased his excellent vocals and piano skills on "Yoo Hee-yeol’s Sketchbook" and "The Seasons – Zico’s Artist." In the teaser released earlier, he displayed his piano and dance prowess.
He has already proven his outstanding hosting skills as the MC of "Music Bank" and as a host for events like the "Baeksang Arts Awards" and "MAMA." This is his first time taking on the role of a full-fledged regular music program MC.
Having dreamt of becoming a singer since he was young, he is reportedly preparing for his first recording with exceptional passion.
"The Seasons – Park Bo-gum’s Cantabile" will premiere on the 14th of next month at 10 p.m.
