Taiwanese actor Darren Wang is finally enlisting. He was recently arrested on charges of draft evasion but has been released.

Taiwanese media outlet ET Today reported on the 24th that Darren Wang will begin his military service on March 13. According to Taiwan's Military Service Act, men aged 18 to 36 are required to fulfill military duties. The service period is one year.

Darren Wang was arrested on suspicion of draft evasion on the 18th. The New Taipei District Prosecutors Office recently investigated a violation of the Military Service Act and identified Wang as a suspect. After searching his home, they summoned him for investigation.

It is reported that Wang obtained a falsified medical certificate to evade military service. The Taiwanese legal community predicts that because the falsified certificate was not submitted, Wang might not face criminal charges for violating the Military Service Act or document forgery.

Arrested Wang was released after posting a bail of 150,000 Taiwan dollars (approximately 2,955,000 Korean won). The aftermath was significant, leading to his departure from his upcoming project, the second season of 'Village of No Return.'

Darren Wang rose to fame in the Chinese-speaking world in 2015 with 'Our Times.' He gained popularity domestically as well, attracting 420,000 viewers. He has since appeared in 'A Better Tomorrow 2018' and 'Fall in Love at First Kiss.'
