"Failure is like a vitamin that's hard to swallow." (pH-1)
Rapper pH-1 has shared his honest thoughts on failure. The creative lab '1ANDON' released a video from their interview series 'Fearless. Step up' on their official SNS on the 18th. pH-1 appeared as the second interviewee, offering his advice on the theme of failure. He admitted, "Failure is something I encounter almost all the time."
Before achieving success as a rapper, he went through numerous hardships and failures. He recalled, "Every decision in life came with its own small failures."
Failures related to his family were particularly painful. pH-1 confessed, "I regret not being able to do better for my family and failing to establish a better relationship."
He continued, "I’m trying to do better now. I'm trying to help them and express my love," and added, "No matter how awkward it might be, I'm making the effort."
He also compared failure to medicine. "Without failure, you can never do well," he explained, "It's like a tough pill to swallow, like a vitamin."
He encouraged others not to fear failure. pH-1 reassured, "It's good to swallow it. Let's not be afraid," and reinterpreted it as "a good tool that, when properly utilized, can become a stepping stone."
On another note, '1ANDON' is an organization that experiments with art and media based on music, and it comprises various creators.
