Kim Ga-young, the MBC weathercaster, voluntarily stepped down from a radio program she was appearing on.

Singer Tei stated on the MBC FM4U 'Good Morning FM with Tei' on the 4th, "Kim Ga-young has expressed her intention to leave the program for the program's sake."

She decided to step down on the 3rd after being pointed out as the perpetrator of workplace harassment against the late weathercaster Oh Yo-anna. Min Ja-young will take over the 'Quick News' segment.

Kim Ga-young had been participating in this radio program since September 30, 2019, and was present as a guest for the 'Quick News' segment even the day before, delivering brief news updates.

Immediately following the live broadcast, numerous posts demanding her resignation appeared on the radio story board. One netizen pointed out, "Being a bystander is also a sin."

Her involvement in other schedules outside the radio is yet to be decided. Kim Ga-young continues to normally participate in SBS-TV’s 'Shooting Stars' and MBC-TV's 'News Desk.'

Oh Yo-anna passed away on September 15 of last year. According to family members, she left a 17-page note on her phone, complaining about workplace harassment.

Four weathercasters from the MBC weather team are under suspicion of being involved. Kim Ga-young is one of them, allegedly a member of a group chat that mocked the deceased.

MBC, pledging a swift investigation, launched an investigation committee on the 3rd to clarify the facts regarding the death. The first meeting is set for the 5th.
