Actor Jung Il-woo showcases his passion for history as he delves into the life of Gojong, the last king of Joseon and the first emperor of the Korean Empire. The final episode of tvN STORY's 'Extraordinary Historical Meal' airs on the 30th at 8 PM. Jung Il-woo appears as a guest, joining Choi Tae-sung, Ryu Soo-young, and Yura to discuss history.

History lecturer Choi Tae-sung will take a detailed look at the lavish meals and untold stories of Emperor Gojong. The discussion will particularly focus on Gojong's political acumen.

Despite frequent invasions by major powers targeting the Korean Peninsula, Gojong endeavored to protect a beleaguered Joseon. He sought to achieve complete independence through the proclamation of the Korean Empire.

Jung Il-woo expressed admiration for Gojong's bold reform policies, stating, "There must have been many side effects during such a rapidly changing period, but it seems he put in a lot of effort for the people."
