The will of the late Oh Yoanna, the MBC weathercaster, has been discovered. It is reported that she complained of workplace bullying from fellow MBC weathercasters.
According to a report by 'Maeil Newspaper' on the 27th, she wrote a 17-page will in the memo app of her cell phone on September 15 of last year and made an extreme choice. MBC has not made a separate statement.
In her will, she expressed her grievances. A fellow weathercaster made errors in reports and blamed her. They deliberately hindered her from leaving work or criticized her broadcast appearances.
MBC is also seen as not being free of responsibility. Before her death, Oh informed MBC officials of the harassment. However, MBC did not conduct a separate workplace bullying investigation.
The will also included her requests for the funeral: "Please hold my funeral outdoors like a party. Wear dresses or pretty clothes, eat finger foods, and send me off with smiles." She also requested, "Do not bury me anywhere, scatter my ashes at sea."
She wrote, "Life is too exhausting. I hate that I can't just love what I love." and added, "I don’t like that people who love me feel uncomfortable trying to keep me alive."
Meanwhile, Oh was born in 1996 and was a former idol trainee. She was hired as a public recruitment weathercaster for MBC in 2021. In 2022, she appeared on 'You Quiz on the Block,' drawing public attention.
