Actress Shin Si-ah depicts the past narrative of the legendary killer.
On the 20th, Andmark announced, "Shin Si-ah has been cast in the film 'Pargwa' (directed by Min Kyu-dong). She will play the young version of the killer Jogak, portrayed by Lee Hye-young."
'Pargwa' is based on a novel of the same name. The film tells the story of a confrontation between 'sacred prevention' killer Jogak and the mysterious killer To-woo, played by Kim Sung-cheol.
Shin Si-ah takes on the same role as Lee Hye-young, portraying the young version of Jogak and connecting the past and present narratives.
This marks her second attempt on the big screen. Shin Si-ah made her debut with 'The Witch: Part 2. The Other One,' delivering a remarkable performance beyond her novice status.
She expressed her thoughts on starring in the film, saying, "It is a great honor. I will do my best to add depth to the character by portraying Jogak's past."
Meanwhile, 'Pargwa' has been officially invited to the 75th Berlin International Film Festival. It will have its world premiere.
