The ‘SBS Entertainment Awards,’ which were canceled due to a passenger plane disaster, will be hosted as a live broadcast on Lunar New Year’s Day. An SBS representative announced on the 16th that the “2024 SBS Entertainment Awards” will take place on January 29th, the day of the Lunar New Year, in celebration of this significant holiday. The network is preparing a celebratory stage for the whole family to enjoy.
There are a total of seven candidates for the grand prize this year. The competitors for the trophy include broadcasters Yoo Jae-suk, Jun Hyun-moo, Shin Dong-yup, Lee Sang-min, Seo Jang-hoon, Lee Hyun-yi, and Kim Jong-kook. Their profiles have already been revealed in a ‘Grand Prize Candidate’ teaser, which caused a buzz with actor Kim Nam-gil providing the narration. All seven contenders openly express their desire for the grand prize.
Special performances will also be featured. “Mood Dragon” Jun Hyun-moo will participate in the opening magic stage. Tak Jae-hoon and Ji Ye-eun will reinterpret and showcase singer Rosé’s “Apartment” (A.P.T). Meanwhile, the “2024 SBS Entertainment Awards” will air live on the 29th, with Jun Hyun-moo, Jang Do-yeon, and Lee Hyun-yi serving as hosts.
