“First Time Seeing a New Face”… Park Hyung-sik, Intense Transformation (Treasure Island)

Actor Park Hyung-sik dives into a fierce money game. SBS-TV’s new Friday-Saturday drama ‘Treasure Island’ (written by Lee Myung-hee and directed by Jin Chang-gyu) released a teaser poster on the 13th. Seo Dong-joo (played by Park Hyung-sik) was standing in front of a maze. The sense of crisis intensified. The massive maze included the phrase ‘A life-threatening money game to become the top 1%,’ sparking curiosity about the game’s outcome.

Park Hyung-sik’s appearance is also impressive. He wore a form-fitting suit and looked at something with an unwavering gaze, exuding a powerful presence. The production team stated, “Through this project, you will see a new side of Park Hyung-sik. He leads the drama with strong acting and charisma.” They added, “The tight script, stylish directing, and Park Hyung-sik’s dramatic transformation provide intense immersion. We ask for much interest and anticipation.”

‘Treasure Island’ is a life all-in revenge drama. It’s the story of a man who hacks into a 2 trillion won political slush fund account and an influential figure who unknowingly kills the hacker. Park Hyung-sik takes on the role of Seo Dong-joo, the head of external cooperation at Daesan Group’s chairman’s office. He is a ‘Daesan man’ who lives and dies for the company but has burning ambitions.

Heo Joon-ho plays Yeom Jang-seon, a former National Intelligence Service director and law school chair professor. Yeom Jang-seon is a power player who controls kingmakers, wielding money and power. Meanwhile, ‘Treasure Island’ premieres on the 14th of next month.
