Actors Park Jin-young and Roh Jeong-eui continue the universe of writer Kang Full. Channel A's new weekend drama 'The Witch' (written by Jo Yoo-jin, directed by Kim Tae-kyun) revealed its first broadcast date on the 13th. It announced, "The first episode is scheduled to air on February 15th."
'The Witch' is based on a webtoon by writer Kang Full. It's the story of a woman called a witch and a man trying to break the curse of misfortune surrounding her.
The first teaser has also been released. The mysterious romance narrative of Dong-jin (played by Park Jin-young) and Mi-jeong (played by Roh Jeong-eui) has begun. In high school, Mi-jeong was caught up in strange rumors.
There was an incident where a male student was struck by lightning, allegedly related to Mi-jeong. People whispered, "Park Mi-jeong was with him again," and "It's because of Park Mi-jeong."
Even Mi-jeong thought the same. She confessed, "Since I was young, strange things have often happened around me." Unable to endure the rumors, she left school.
Time passed. Dong-jin heard Mi-jeong's name on the subway and was surprised. Wearing a cap, Mi-jeong heard a man's confession, "I like Mi-jeong."
The production team explained, "Dong-jin meets Mi-jeong again, whom he has kept in his heart for a long time. It shows the background of the journey to break the curse of misfortune."
They continued, "Please watch how Dong-jin, who only believes in truths extracted through big data, navigates this situation that is logically incomprehensible."
Meanwhile, 'The Witch' will air its first episode at 9:10 PM on the 15th of next month.
