Stray Kids (also known as SKZ) are experiencing a long run on the US Billboard charts. On the 7th (local time), Billboard announced the rankings for the 'Top Album Sales' and 'Top Current Album Sales' charts. SKZ ranked first with their new album SKZ HOP TAPE's '合 (HOP)', released last December.
SKZ topped two album chart categories for three consecutive weeks. 'Top Album Sales' is based on weekly album sales within the US, and 'Top Current Album Sales' ranks albums released within the last 18 months based on weekly US album sales.
This marks the second record for a K-pop artist following BTS. SKZ sold approximately 187,000 copies in the US during the first week of the release of '合 (HOP)'. They reached the top of the main chart, 'Billboard 200', showcasing their local influence.
They also set a significant record on 'Billboard 200'. SKZ became the first artist in the 69-year history of the chart to have six consecutive albums debut at number one. In the latest chart dated the 11th, '合 (HOP)' ranked 13th, maintaining their position in the top ranks.
Meanwhile, SKZ will hold their fifth official fan meeting 'SKZ’s Five O'Clock' from February 14 to 16 at the Incheon Inspire Arena. Following this, in March, they will host a solo concert in 20 major stadiums across Latin America, North America, and Europe.
