BOYNEXTDOOR has proven their global popularity. Around midnight on the 10th, their new digital single “I Love You” music video surpassed 10 million views on YouTube.
The song and music video were released on the 6th. Upon release, it entered YouTube’s trending videos (Music) at number 2. By around 1 AM on the 7th, it had reached the top spot. It has maintained its number 1 position since. As of 8 AM on the 10th, the video had over 14.61 million views. The music video also reached number 1 on YouTube’s trending videos (7th-8th).
The music video depicts the members experiencing the aftermath of a breakup in various ways. The picturesque visuals and refreshing seasonal atmosphere enhance the viewing experience.
BOYNEXTDOOR achieved a career high on global charts with “I Love You.” Firstly, they ranked 4th on Melon’s “Top 100” (as of midnight on the 7th). They set a new personal best with a 38th place on Melon’s daily chart (7th). They also topped Japan’s Line Music “Top 100” chart and reached 3rd place on China’s QQ Music trending chart.
“I Love You” is a dance song that portrays the realistic post-breakup experience in a unique way. With added wit, it completes a not-so-sad breakup song for the MZ generation. “I Love You” is a dance track that depicted the post-breakup experience differently. Seongho will make a special appearance as an MC on “Music Core.” An official stated, “BOYNEXTDOOR will deliver a live performance that lives up to the phrase ‘Trustworthy BOYNEXTDOOR,’” and asked for high anticipation.
