Virtual idol Plave is making a comeback. On the 9th, Plave revealed a “coming soon” image and scheduler for their third mini-album on social media, officially announcing their return. The new album will be released at 6 PM on the 3rd of next month. The unveiled image shows a dimly lit alleyway shrouded in thick mist, creating a mysterious and chilly atmosphere. The title is “Caligo pt.1.”
According to the scheduler, Plave will release various pre-content starting with a concept film on the 13th, including the album jacket, tracklist, highlight medley, and music video teaser. This comeback comes roughly 5 months after their last release. Last August, they showcased a lively and bubbly charm with their digital single “Pump Up The Volume!”
What concept will they return with this time? With “Pump Up The Volume,” Plave topped Melon’s Hot 100 and Top 100 charts on the day of release and achieved first place on terrestrial music broadcasts. They reached 1 billion cumulative streams, setting the record for the shortest time to be inducted into Melon’s “Billions Club.”
