Actors Kim Da-mi, Shin Ye-eun, and Heo Nam-joon are coming together for a youth melodrama. JTBC's new drama 'Hundred Memories' (written by Yang Hee-seung, directed by Kim Sang-ho) confirmed its casting on the 9th. 'Hundred Memories' depicts the friendship between Yeong-rae (played by Kim Da-mi), a bus conductor on the 100th route in the 1980s, and Jong-hee (played by Shin Ye-eun), alongside their first love with the destined man, Jae-pil (played by Heo Nam-joon).
Kim Da-mi will take on the role of 'Go Yeong-rae,' a model conductor of the Cheong-a Transportation 100 bus. She is a diligent eldest daughter striving to attend college. Despite constantly suffering from motion sickness, she boards the bus daily to help with her mother's livelihood. However, once she gets going, no one can stop her. She relentlessly pursues passengers who evade fare. Her unique character is anticipated.
Shin Ye-eun will portray 'Seo Jong-hee,' a conductor for Cheong-a Transportation. She is full of charm, enthusiasm, and has a strong bond with Yeong-rae. She dreams of escaping her unfortunate family circumstances.
Heo Nam-joon will play 'Han Jae-pil,' the first love of Yeong-rae and Jong-hee. As a natural-born wealthy heir and son of a department store owner, he harbors inner wounds. He is going through a rebellious and turbulent period.
The production team stated, "Trending trusted youth actors have come together," and promised, "With a vibrant youthful spirit, it will take viewers on a youth train ride to the 1980s.”
They added, "The spirit of youth shines brightly despite changing times,” and expressed hopes for the drama to be one that resonates with both the older generation who lived through that era and the youth of today, where they can laugh and cry together.
'Hundred Memories' is written by Yang Hee-seung, known for 'Crash Course in Romance,' 'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo,' and 'Oh My Ghost,' and is directed by Kim Sang-ho of 'Thirty-Nine.'
