Youtuber and entrepreneur Lee Hee-cheol passed away on the 7th at the age of 40.

The news of Lee Hee-cheol's death was shared by his close friend, Pungja, who announced on Instagram on the 8th, "My beloved Hee-cheol oppa has become a star in the sky."

She continued, "I can't believe it even as I write this. I'm leaving this message for those who loved oppa and those acquaintances who haven't heard the news yet."

Pungja added, "Please pray that he goes to a better place. It's such a sudden event, and there are many friends we haven't been able to contact. Please contact me, and I will guide you to the funeral home."

Lee Hee-cheol's cause of death is reported to be a heart attack. His memorial is set up at Soonchunhyang University Hospital Funeral Hall in Seoul. The funeral will take place on the 10th at 5 a.m., and the burial site is Suwon Crematorium.

On December 31st, the deceased had left a New Year's message on Instagram. He reflected, "The difficult year of 2024 felt overwhelmingly tough. It was a year where both my health and spirit were exhausted."

He also wrote, "I know that learning and growing come with pain. I trust I will overcome this firmly and humbly and send it off graciously. I will use the difficulties of 2024 as the foundation for my health."

Finally, he pledged, "I hope and wish that the New Year of 2025 will be filled with gratitude, maintaining a healthier and more flexible life."

Meanwhile, Lee Hee-cheol, who comes from a photography background, ran a wine bar and appeared on KBS-2TV's 'Mr. House Husband' last year. He also operated a YouTube channel and worked as a visual director for the group CLASS:y.
