American Grammy.com has selected the rookie girl group 'Say My Name' as the rookie of 2025.
On the 4th (local time), Grammy.com, the music media outlet of the American Recording Academy, highlighted 'rookie K-POP artists to watch in 2025.' They focused on 'Say My Name,' a new girl group created by singer and actor Kim Jaejoong. The group showcased stable skills with their debut album 'SAY MY NAME' released last October.
Grammy.com stated, "This is a group made by veteran K-pop singer Kim Jaejoong," and evaluated that "Say My Name possesses unique energy. Their stage offers pure enjoyment."
They also highlighted the debut song 'WaveWay,' noting that "lyrics like 'Yesterday's worries are nothing nothing, diving into thrilling excitement day and night' contain a message of freedom."
In addition to Say My Name, Grammy.com also paid attention to QWER, Artemis, NexG, Lissence, Miyao, Izna, and the soon-to-debut 'Kickflip.'
The media outlet predicted that "in 2025, K-pop will continue its vitality with new groups from major entertainment companies and results from new survival programs."
