SBS-TV's 'I Want to Know That' examines the shamanism controversy involving President Yoon Suk-yeol and his wife. On the 3rd, 'I Want to Know That' released a preview video for the episode titled 'Mentor and Shaman – The Shadow of the President and Shamanism.' The episode investigates the rekindled suspicions of shamans acting behind the scenes.
It looks back from Yoon Suk-yeol's candidacy period to the state of martial law. During the presidential candidate debate, he appeared with the character '王' (meaning 'king') drawn on his palm.
Jeon Sung-bae, also known as Geonjin Beopsa, was pointed out as being behind this. Jeon is known to be acquainted with Kim Kun-hee, the first lady. He also held a key position in Yoon Suk-yeol's campaign.
In addition to this, Chungkong claimed to be the president's mentor. Self-proclaimed 'Jirisan Daoist' Myung Tae-kyun was also rumored to have advised them and influenced policy decisions.
The production team revisits the suspicion that shamanism played a role in the relocation of the presidential office Yongsan. They also revisit events like the failed condolence visit to the British Queen and the Great Whale Project.
They tracked the whereabouts of Chungkong and Geonjin Beopsa. Myung was excluded since he is under arrest for violating the political funds law. They met the two to ask for their positions.
Meanwhile, the episode of 'I Want to Know That' titled "The Shadow of the President and Shamanism" will air on the 4th at 11:10 PM.
