"The Fiery Priest 2" showcased the highlights of its final episode. SBS-TV revealed still cuts from the final episode of the Friday-Saturday drama ahead of its conclusion on the 26th, featuring the ultimate showdown between actors Kim Nam-gil, Lee Ha-nee, Kim Sung-kyun, and Seo Hyun-woo.
It opened the scene of the so-called "Honey Jar Gate Hearing," depicting the final confrontation between Kim Hae-il (played by Kim Nam-gil), Park Kyung-seon (played by Lee Ha-nee), Gu Dae-young (played by Kim Sung-kyun), and Nam Doo-han (played by Seo Hyun-woo).
In the stills, Kim Hae-il, Park Kyung-seon, and Gu Dae-young glare at Nam Doo-han, united in their stance. Nam Doo-han prepares for the hearing with an expressionless face, creating a tense atmosphere.
Kim Hae-il, Park Kyung-seon, and Gu Dae-young deliver passionate testimonies with resolute expressions unique to each character. Notably, when Kim Hae-il rises in anger, Gu Dae-young tries to calm him down.
Previously, in episode 11, it was revealed that Nam Doo-han had risen to the position of head of the special department through "Honey Jar," a collection of data on drug incidents involving children of high-ranking officials, exposing the truth behind the "Honey Jar Gate."
The final episode features a "hearing" where Nam Doo-han and associated figures are summoned, facing allegations of collusion with a drug syndicate, murder instigation, and reduced investigations into drug crimes by high-ranking officials' children.
The filming set was 180 degrees different from the drama's intense atmosphere. The production team shared, "We shot the scene on Seo Hyun-woo's birthday. Although it was a tense scene, the set was heartwarming."
The production team also mentioned, "This scene will bring emotional upheaval to its peak. Please watch to see if the Gudam team can condemn Nam Doo-han and establish public justice."
"The Fiery Priest 2" first aired on the 8th of last month. Since then, it has maintained double-digit ratings, consistently retaining its top position among Friday dramas, proving its popularity and buzz.
The final episode, episode 12 of "The Fiery Priest 2," airs on the 27th at 10 PM.
