The movie ‘Harbin’ (directed by Woo Min-ho) was released with an overwhelming reservation rate. According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated computer network for movie tickets, ‘Harbin’ ranked first with a reservation rate of 56.2% as of 9:12 AM on the 24th.
The number of reserved audience members is 554,590. It leads with an overwhelming reservation rate, followed by ‘The Firefighter’ with 8.2%, ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ with 6.9%, and ‘Moana 2’ with 5.9%. It rekindles the theater scene for the end-of-year season.
Particularly, ‘Harbin’ saw a surge in reservation rates following its first public press and audience screenings. The number of reservations increased by 50,000 to 100,000 a day, proving its popularity.
‘Harbin’ depicts the breathless chase and suspicion between those heading to Harbin in 1909 with a single purpose and those pursuing them. Actor Hyun Bin plays the role of Ahn Jung-geun. The film is directed by Woo Min-ho, known for ‘Inside Men’ and ‘The Man Standing Next’.
It also involves the production team from ‘Spring of Seoul’. The production cost is known to be 30 billion won, with the break-even point at around 6.5 million viewers. It is now released and enjoying enthusiastic screening.
