I-LIT is making strides as a super rookie by attending Japan's most prestigious music awards ceremony. On the 19th, Belift Lab announced, "I-LIT will be appearing on 'The 66th Japan Record Awards' (hereafter 'Record Awards'), which will be broadcast live on Japan's TBS on the 30th."
The 'Japan Record Awards' is a music awards ceremony hosted by the Japan Composer's Association. It first began in 1959 and is the oldest and most prestigious event in Japan.
They are stepping onto the awards ceremony stage as an awardee. The 'Record Awards' announced this year's list of awardees on the 21st of last month, with I-LIT listed in the Rookie of the Year category.
They will perform the title track "Magnetic" from their first mini-album at the ceremony. "Magnetic" ranked 5th on Japan's YouTube 'Most Popular Shorts of the Year'. It has received a lot of love from local listeners and is listed as a winner in the 'Line Music Trend Awards 2024'. It is the only K-pop song to make the ranking.
Meanwhile, I-LIT will be featured in Japan's year-end special broadcasts, performing on TV Asahi's 'Music Station' on the 27th and NHK's 'Kouhaku Uta Gassen' on the 31st.
