The universe of ‘Gudam City’ resonated well. The production team of SBS-TV’s ‘The Fiery Priest 2’ (written by Park Jae-beom, directed by Park Bo-ram) launched a ‘Fiery Priest’ alley popup on the 6th in the St. Joseph Culture Street area in Seoul.
They branded the base ‘Gudam District’ as the virtual municipality ‘Gudam City.’ They recreated spaces from the drama into reality and sold related products. Collaborating with existing brands, they released customized products as ‘Gudam City’ regional specialties, including perfumed balms by Kim Nam-gil, Lee Hanee, and Kim Hyung-seo.
In particular, the perfumed balm and seed message kit of Kim Hae-il (played by Kim Nam-gil), made with ‘More Shop,’ are close to selling out. Gudam Tarts are also popular. Products targeted for the Christmas season received a positive response as well. ‘Gudam Wine’ is introduced as a non-alcoholic drink enjoyed by Priest Kim Hae-il, with a storytelling angle.
Additionally, diverse product lineups, such as ‘Gudam Ssanghwa,’ ‘Gudam Chocolate,’ ‘Gudam Caramel,’ ‘Gudam Hot Chocolate,’ and ‘Gudam Nut Butter Set,’ are gaining attention. Meanwhile, the Fiery Priest alley popup ‘Gudam City’ will continue at Jungnim Warehouse in Jungnim-dong, Seoul, until January 5th next year.
