Le Sserafim is heating up Japan. On the 19th, Japan's TBS announced that Le Sserafim would appear on the live broadcast of the '66th Japan Record Awards on the 30th.
The 'Japan Record Awards' is an award ceremony hosted by the Japan Composers' Association. It was established in 1959 and is considered the most traditional and prestigious in Japan.
The list of this year's winners was announced last month, and Le Sserafim received the Special International Music Award, recognizing their performances on both domestic and international stages this year. They will attend the ceremony as awardees and will also perform. They have prepared the Japanese version of the title track "CRAZY" from their third Japanese single album.
Le Sserafim has achieved remarkable feats in Japan, having been listed on Billboard Japan’s “2024 First Half Charts” for categories like ‘Hot 100,’ ‘Hot Albums,’ and ‘Top Artists.’ They also earned a platinum certification in the streaming category from the Recording Industry Association of Japan, with the song "Eve, Psyche & the Bluebeard’s Wife" from their first full album surpassing 100 million streams.
Meanwhile, Le Sserafim will follow their appearance at TBS’s ‘Japan Record Awards’ on the 30th by participating in NHK’s ‘Kōhaku Uta Gassen’ on the 31st.
