ZeroBaseOne is ready to captivate Japan. On the 17th, they unveiled the cover and pack shots for their Japanese EP "PREZENT" on their official social media. This heightened the anticipation for their comeback.
The album embraces various charms, consisting of four versions (Regular Edition, First Press Limited Editions A & B, and Animation Edition). Each member showcases a different concept for each version.
"PREZENT" is an album expressing gratitude towards their fandom, Zeroes. They gained phenomenal popularity upon their debut in Japan.
The EP contains a total of six songs, including four original Japanese tracks. A representative emphasized, "It will be an album like a gift, as suggested by its title."
The EP features double title tracks, showcasing ZeroBaseOne's wide musical spectrum. They adeptly handle various genres, enhancing the album's completeness.
"Now or Never" combines drum and bass with rock sounds. The song "Only One Story," chosen as the opening theme for "Pokémon," can also be heard.
Their popularity in Japan is overwhelming. Their first single, "Yura Yura -Unmei no Hana-," became a half-million seller in just a week after debuting locally.
It also received a 'Double Platinum' certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan. The album achieved cumulative shipments of over 500,000 by March.
That's not all. ZeroBaseOne topped Tower Records Japan's '2024 Best Sellers' K-pop Top 20 list, the country's largest record store chain.
The album ranked 16th on Billboard Japan's annual "Top Single Sales" chart. Japanese listeners have already expressed high expectations for the new release.
On the other hand, ZeroBaseOne will release "PREZENT" on the 29th of next month.
