MBC-TV’s “The Call You’re Making Now” has captivated viewers worldwide. According to FlixPatrol, a site that ranks OTT services, “The Call You’re Making Now” (written by Kim Ji-woon, directed by Park Sang-woo and Wi Deok-kyu) ranked 4th globally in the “TV Show” category on Netflix as of the 16th.
In country-specific rankings, it took 1st place in a total of 12 countries, including South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia, proving its global popularity. It also garnered attention for its buzz.
According to FunDex, the official platform of Good Data Corporation, it ranked 3rd in overall TV-OTT drama buzz for the second week of December. In terms of cast buzz, lead actors Yoo Yeon-seok and Chae Soo-bin secured 2nd and 4th places, respectively. In the “VON” (Voice of Netizens) category, it topped the chart, ranking high in multiple categories.
In the 6th episode that aired on the 14th, the drama depicted Baek Sa-eon (played by Yoo Yeon-seok) and Hong Hee-joo (played by Chae Soo-bin), who became an in-house couple in the spokesperson’s office, realizing each other’s true feelings and growing closer.
The storyline captivated Friday and Saturday night audiences, transforming the protagonists’ antagonistic relationship into mutual salvation. “The Call You’re Making Now” will broadcast its 7th episode on the 20th at 9:50 PM.
