BOYNEXTDOOR (hereafter ‘BOYNEXTDOOR’) confirmed their comeback for the new year. On the 16th, KOZ Entertainment revealed the comeback artwork of BOYNEXTDOOR on their official SNS. They also announced the release of a new song on January 6 next year.
The new song is titled ‘I LOVE YOU’. The artwork includes the song title and emotional illustrations depicting various aspects of a boy. The boy is seen quietly playing the guitar, lying down, blowing soap bubbles, and sitting in a bathtub deep in thought, heightening curiosity about the new song.
A representative explained, “This comeback was made possible by the strong will of the members. It’s a gesture of gratitude to those who have shown love this year.”
BOYNEXTDOOR held their first solo tour (KNOCK ON Vol.1) on the 14th and 15th. They also pre-announced the new song release, receiving a fervent response from their fandom, Wondoor.
They expressed, “Our determination was to make a comeback in January to do something for Wondoor,” and added that they prepared diligently, showcasing exceptional love for their fans.
A company representative noted, “Despite being busy preparing for special year-end performances and their solo tour, BOYNEXTDOOR members have prepared a surprise gift,” asking for anticipation.
This year, BOYNEXTDOOR solidified their position domestically and internationally. They set records. Their mini third album ‘19.99’, released last September, achieved their first million seller since debut.
The album entered the Billboard main album chart ‘Billboard 200’ at the 40th position. On Billboard Japan’s 2024 year-end chart, it ranked 33rd on the main album chart ‘Hot Albums’, marking the highest position for a 5th generation K-pop group.
