SEVENTEEN attempts to be a ten-million artist for two consecutive years. According to the Circle Chart, SEVENTEEN recorded a cumulative album sales of 9,761,390 copies from January to November. With strong sales of both new and old albums, they are on the verge of surpassing ten million copies.
They have actively continued group and unit activities throughout the year. In April, they met with fans through their best album ‘17 IS RIGHT HERE’. ’17 IS RIGHT HERE’ achieved the highest first-week sales for a K-pop best album and became a triple million-seller in just ten days.
In June, the special unit Jeonghan x Wonwoo teamed up, releasing the single ‘THIS MAN’. It achieved the highest first-week sales for a K-pop unit album. Next came the group’s turn. SEVENTEEN released their 12th mini-album ‘SPILL THE FEELS’ in October. It was the only K-pop album this year to surpass 3 million in first-week sales. They also shone overseas.
Their Japanese single ‘Shohikigen’ (消費期限) received a ‘Double Platinum’ certification from the Japan Record Association. It’s not just about albums. Through their world tour ‘FOLLOW’ and 8th fan meeting ‘SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND’, SEVENTEEN showcased their prowess as ‘performance masters’. Notably, they held a solo concert at the Macau Olympic Stadium, the first K-pop artist to do so.
They entered massive venues like the Seoul World Cup Stadium and Kanagawa’s Nissan Stadium. Continuously challenging themselves, SEVENTEEN took the main stage at the UK’s ‘Glastonbury Festival’ in June and were headliners at Germany’s ‘Lollapalooza Berlin’ in September. Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN has been invited to Mexico’s ‘Tecate Pal Norte 2025’ in April next year.
