Stray Kids, Unprecedented Performance… ‘Walkin’ on Water’, Captivating

Stray Kids (hereafter referred to as ‘SKZ’) have announced an electrifying performance. On the 10th, SKZ released the second music video teaser for the title track ‘Walkin On Water’ from their SKZ-REHOP mixtape, ‘HOP (合),’ on their official SNS.

They boasted their unique energy with a prominent hip-hop composition. The members showcased a unique yet harmonious charm amid a backdrop that traverses past and present. Particularly, the powerful choreography, worthy of their reputation as a “performance powerhouse,” was impressive.

They also presented a grand group dance using objects like arrows, raising expectations for the full music video.

‘Walkin On Water’ was worked on by the group’s producing team, 3RACHA (Bang Chan, Changbin, Han), hinting at a new genre for SKZ. It boasts high addictiveness. The album contains 12 tracks, including ‘Bounce Back,’ ‘U (Feat. TABLO),’ and ‘Walkin On Water (Hip ver),’ covering various genres.

Solo tracks for each member are also included. The new release features solo songs performed by Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N during their world tour ‘dominate.’

SKZ is currently on their world tour ‘dominate,’ consistently selling out performances in massive stadiums around the globe, proving their status as top global artists. They have been nominated for the ‘2024 Billboard Music Awards’ (BBMA), which will take place on the 12th (local time). They are nominated in four categories: Top Duo/Group, Top K-Pop Album (two nominations), and Top Global K-Pop Artist.

They have been confirmed to participate as performers for the second consecutive year. A representative stated, “They will present two of SKZ’s hit songs with energetic performances,” urging anticipation.

They have also been named on the list for the ’67th Grammy Awards,’ scheduled for February 2nd next year. The soundtrack album for the film ‘Deadpool and Wolverine,’ which includes SKZ’s ‘Slash,’ has been nominated.
