Seventeen is set to conquer Japan with their latest single. On the 27th, they released their 4th Japanese single "Shohikigen" (消費期限) on various music platforms, marking their local comeback after about 1 year and 3 months.
This new release consists of three tracks in total, including the title track of the same name, "Circles," and a Japanese version of "MAESTRO."
The title track "Shohikigen" is a ballad that highlights string and guitar sounds. The lyrics express the contemplation of the expiration date of emotions.
The song garnered attention even before its release as it was featured as the theme song for NHK Japan’s "Mirai no Watashini Bukkamasareru!?" (未来の私にぶっかまされる!?).
The music video is connected to the title track from Seventeen's Japanese best album released last year, portraying the story following that song's music video. While the previous work depicted the day before the end of the world, this one shows life 1,000 days after the end, with members reminiscing about past memories.
Meanwhile, Seventeen will continue their momentum with their Japan 4-dome tour. They will kick off the "WORLD TOUR [IN JAPAN]" on the 29th and 30th at the Vantelin Dome Nagoya.
