SM’s UK boy group dearALICE teamed up with a U.S. music label. On the 27th, SM Entertainment announced, “We have formed a strategic partnership with gamma. for the global debut and future activities of dearALICE.” The two parties recently signed the contract in Los Angeles, USA. Choi Jung-min, SM’s Chief Global Business Officer, and Jang Yoon-jung, co-CEO of Kakao Entertainment, attended the event.
All dearALICE members were also present. They agreed to make their utmost effort so the group can engage in various activities on the global stage and grow. SM, Kakao Entertainment, and gamma will collaborate on all aspects of dearALICE’s debut album, from producing to releasing, distribution, marketing, and brand partnerships.
The collaboration spans globally, including North America, Europe, and Asia. Even after dearALICE’s debut, they will join forces to support their growth. Gamma is a notable media company founded by Larry Jackson, a former Apple Music Creative Director, and Ike Youssef, a former CFO of Interscope. Larry Jackson, CEO of gamma, said, “We have had the opportunity to learn many things from Korean music.
(Each company) is forming a creative bond,” he expressed contentment. He added, “I am very pleased to be working with SM and Kakao Entertainment and look forward to new updates from dearALICE in 2025.” Jang Cheol-hyuk, co-CEO of SM, conveyed, “Through the partnership, we will work closely to help dearALICE grow as an influential artist globally.”
Meanwhile, dearALICE will release their official debut single at the end of this year.
