Actress Jeon Yeo-bin plays a character from the era in the film ‘Harbin’ (directed by Woo Min-ho). On the 25th, CJ ENM released stills of the character Gongbuin (played by Jeon Yeo-bin) from ‘Harbin’ along with Jeon Yeo-bin’s interview. The release hints at a charismatic character and reveals her thoughts on acting.
Jeon Yeo-bin takes on the role of Gongbuin, an independence fighter. She plays a dignified and resolute independence fighter. In the stills, she is seen heading somewhere, wearing a black suit and a hat.
Jeon Yeo-bin shared, “From the moment I read the script, I could feel Gongbuin’s dignity and resolve. The thought of bringing this character to life filled me with a sense of challenge and anticipation.”
She added, “Throughout filming, I kept reminding myself with the question, ‘What is that heart that is prioritized even over my life?’ I aimed to capture as much of the sincerity and passion of the independence fighters as possible.”
Director Woo Min-ho revealed the casting behind-the-scenes by saying, “I thought Jeon Yeo-bin, who exudes tremendous energy, was the best actress to portray Gongbuin.”
‘Harbin’ is a historical drama set in 1909. It depicts the tense chase and suspicion between those heading to Harbin for a single purpose and those pursuing them. The film will be released on the 25th of next month.
