Actor Rowoon will now transform into a rogue, unveiling a rougher side. On the 21st, Disney+’s first historical drama series ‘Turbid Waters’ revealed its casting lineup, featuring Rowoon, Shin Ye-eun, Park Seo-ham, and Park Ji-hwan.
‘Turbid Waters’ tells the story of Joseon as the clean river turns turbid, focusing on the fates of Si-yul (played by Rowoon), who becomes a rogue to hide his past, Choi Eun (played by Shin Ye-eun), who pursues justice, and Jeong Cheon (played by Park Seo-ham), who dreams of being an incorruptible official.
Director Choo Chang-min of the film ‘Masquerade’ and writer Chun Sung-il of dramas ‘The Slave Hunters’ and ‘All of Us Are Dead’ join forces for this project. Rowoon plays Jang Si-yul, a rogue at Mapo Ferry. This is his first challenge as a rogue, showcasing a rough performance never seen before, hinting at a transformation in his acting.
Shin Ye-eun will portray Choi Eun, a merchant leading Joseon’s top trading company, while Park Seo-ham will challenge his first historical drama as Jeong Cheon, an officer at the police bureau who fights corruption. ‘Turbid Waters’ will be released on Disney+ next year.
