The film “Amazon’s Secret Sauce” (directed by Kim Chang-joo) has made a successful debut in Vietnam. “Amazon’s Secret Sauce” hit Vietnamese theaters on the 15th and reached number one at the box office during its opening weekend (15th-17th), earning 1.2 million dollars.

This is the second-highest opening score for a Korean film in history, following “Excavation” (3.02 million dollars). It surpassed the previous number two, “6/45” (1.04 million dollars). The movie is expected to continue the K-movie craze, holding a market share of 62% during this period. Its fresh comedy captivated local audiences.

According to the Vietnamese distributor, “The dynamic duo of Ryu Seung-ryong and Jin Sun-kyu, along with the voice dubbing by Vietnamese actor Kieu Minh Tuan, resulted in an explosive response.” Meanwhile, “Amazon’s Secret Sauce” is set to be released in Taiwan next month and Thailand in January next year.
