Lee Moon-sae has taken part in a warm-hearted sharing effort for children around the world. On the 20th, UNICEF Korea Committee announced Lee Moon-sae's donation news. "Lee Moon-sae donated 200 million won to support the healthy growth of children worldwide in celebration of World Children's Day," it stated.
In August, Lee Moon-sae visited the Afar region of Ethiopia with UNICEF. After witnessing the difficulties faced by children struggling with water and nutrition issues there, he decided to make a donation. UNICEF reported that "Lee Moon-sae contributed the funds wishing for all children on 'World Children's Day'." The entire donation will be used in UNICEF's nutrition and education projects.
This donation has made Lee Moon-sae a member of the 'UNICEF Honors Club.' He has been actively supporting global children, such as building schools in remote areas of Nepal.
Jo Mi-jin, Secretary-General of the UNICEF Korea Committee, expressed gratitude, saying, "We deeply thank Lee Moon-sae for sending warm love to the world's children in celebration of 'World Children's Day'." She added, "His willingness to accompany us to Africa and his heartfelt attention to the children's stories have provided great resonance and inspiration to many."
Meanwhile, November 20th, 'World Children's Day,' is a commemorative day designated by the United Nations in 1954. It marks the adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the most widely ratified human rights treaty in history and the declaration of all children's rights.
