
BTS member Jin is making waves in Japan, topping local charts with his new release. Jin released his solo album "Happy" on the 15th. According to the latest Oricon chart, the new album ranked first in the weekly digital album rankings.
He showcased his formidable album power. The new album was released during the tracking period (11th to 17th) and managed to top the chart with just three days of sales (15th to 17th). An impressive record was quickly established, with approximately 220,000 copies sold on the first day. It is the highest first-day sales for a K-pop solo album in Oricon's tally this year.
The title track "Running Wild" also captivated Japanese listeners, securing the No. 1 spot on Oricon's daily digital single rankings on the day of its release. All the songs from the album were placed in the top 20 of the chart. "Until I Reach You" ranked ninth, while the pre-released single "I’ll Be There" was at 11th. "Heart on the Window" was positioned at 14th, "In Longing" took the 15th spot, and "Another Level" landed at 17th.
"Happy" is an album inviting listeners on a journey to find happiness. Jin candidly shares his thoughts on happiness and wishes for everyone’s happiness through his music.
Meanwhile, Jin is set to appear on NBC’s "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" in the U.S. on the 21st at 1:35 PM.
