"Let's not get tired and keep working hard."
Big Hit Music released the second round of Q&A with BTS's Jin on the 16th. It includes a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Jin's first solo album 'Happy' and his thoughts on the activities.
'Happy' is an album that deals with Jin's journey in search of happiness. It contains a total of 6 tracks, including the title track 'Running Wild', 'I'll Be There', 'Until I Reach You', and 'Heart on the Window'.
'I'll Be There' was a collaboration with American singer-songwriter Max. The two have worked together on BTS's 'Yet to Come'. Jin expressed that he was "satisfied."
He explained, "From the start, I asked Max to create the track with a band sound. The melody was also tailored to fit me, resulting in music that perfectly suits my vocal range."
In 'Until I Reach You', Japanese rock band ONE OK ROCK's Toru played the guitar. Jin revealed that "with just one or two rounds of feedback, a satisfactory revised version was produced."
For 'Heart on the Window', Jin collaborated with Wendy. He stated, "I had never done a duet with someone other than my members before. It turned out so well that my worries were unfounded."
Jin is racing forward without rest after his military discharge. Following the release of the new album, he is expected to appear in various fields such as broadcasts, OTT, and YouTube content. The driving force was ARMY (fandom).
He shared a message to himself, "I need to work harder so that ARMY can enjoy. Let's not get tired and keep working hard."
Starting today until the 17th, Jin will host a fan showcase at the Jangchung Gymnasium in Jung-gu, Seoul. It will be the first reveal of the stage for the new songs from the album.

<The following is Jin's Q&A>
Q. You collaborated on 'I'll Be There' with Max, with whom you made BTS's 'Yet to Come'. How did it feel to work together again after a long time?
I asked Max from the start to create the song with a band sound. He tailored the melody to fit me, and I am satisfied with the music that fits my vocal range well.
Q. ONE OK ROCK's Toru played the guitar in 'Until I Reach You'. Can you share about your discussions with Toru regarding the guitar sound?
The initial version of the song was more mellow. The 'Happy' album was conceived with live performance in mind from the start, so I asked Toru to add more instrumental sounds. Even with just one or two rounds of feedback, a satisfactory revised version was quickly produced.
Q. Your thoughts on working on the duet song 'Heart on the Window' with Wendy.
I already knew Wendy is a great singer, but I realized once again how truly talented she is. I was worried about doing a duet with someone other than BTS members, but the result turned out so well that my worries were unfounded. It exceeded my expectations, and I'm truly satisfied.
Q. Behind-the-scenes stories of the other tracks.
I enjoy gaming in my free time. Among the tracks, there is a song called 'Another Level', which I conceptualized and wrote lyrics for while thinking about gaming. I think it would be fun for people who play games with a slightly dark atmosphere when they need to level up. (laughs)
Q. The most memorable episode from your solo content 'Run BTS'.
The haunted house experience at a folk village was the most memorable. As many fans know, I don't like scary things, so when I saw the plan, I honestly thought, 'Do we really have to do this?' (laughs) But the production team gently mentioned that "many fans mentioned the haunted house experience," so I couldn't refuse. (laughs) Fortunately, when the video was released later, seeing ARMY enjoying it made me think, "Yeah, we did well!"
Q. You received YouTube content recommendations from fans. What did you think when you saw the recommendations?
I was surprised because most fans suggested that I should have a comfortable shoot. Personally, I find moments of overcoming difficulties interesting, but fans mostly recommended talk shows, which was unexpected.
Q. You have been delivering news on various platforms including broadcasts, OTT, and YouTube content. What motivated you to actively participate in variety shows?
After my discharge, I thought about how to quickly connect with fans. I figured that appearing on programs would allow me to meet fans faster than releasing an album. That's why I did my own content 'Run BTS' too.
Q. Any words you want to say to yourself as you're racing forward without rest?
Seokjin, you need to work harder to make ARMY happy, so don't get tired and keep going.
