Stray Kids have started the countdown to their comeback. On the 16th, JYP Entertainment released the "SKZHOP HIPTAPE 'HOP'" timetable for Stray Kids' new album and announced the teasing schedule.
It embodies the unique charm of Korea. Typography in the form of brush calligraphy stands out against the backdrop of a dark hanok door. It represents both the concept of "HOP" in hip-hop and the Chinese character "合."
Various visual elements attracted attention. Traditional paper window patterns, modern graphic objects, and colors evoking the red and blue of the Taegeuk symbol were displayed.
The comeback schedule was announced. Starting on the 18th, various images and videos will be released in sequence. On the day of release, a countdown live will be held, followed by the release of a remix single.
The name "SKZHOP HIPTAPE" is derived from combining 'SKZ,' the abbreviation for Stray Kids, with hip-hop. It features a newly defined genre that is not officially recognized. It contains songs unique to Stray Kids.
The album name "合(HOP)" signifies the unity completed by the eight members of Stray Kids. It also integrates the English term 'hop' from the hip-hop genre, providing a layered meaning.
Stray Kids are currently on a new world tour, which kicked off in Seoul last August. This tour sees them performing at massive global stadiums.
They also made a significant impact in Japan, releasing their second full-length album "Giant" on the 13th. From the 14th to the 17th, they will hold a solo concert in Tokyo Dome as part of their world tour.
Following that, they will visit Manila, Philippines on the 23rd, Macau on the 29th and 30th, Osaka, Japan on the 5th and 7th-8th next month, Bangkok, Thailand on the 14th, and Jakarta, Indonesia on the 21st.
Stray Kids' new album will be officially released on the 13th of next month at 2 PM.
