
Broadcaster Kim Na-jeong has been booked on charges of drug use. According to the police, Kim Na-jeong returned to Korea through Incheon International Airport from Manila, Philippines, on the 12th. She was then investigated by the Incheon International Airport Police for two hours.
A rapid drug test was conducted, resulting in a positive reaction for methamphetamine. The Incheon International Airport Police forwarded the case to the Gyeonggi Northern Provincial Police Agency, as Kim Na-jeong resides in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. The Gyeonggi Northern Provincial Police Agency has booked Kim Na-jeong without detention on suspicion of violating the Narcotics Control Act.
The police plan to investigate the circumstances of her drug use, her suppliers, and any accomplices. Kim Na-jeong earlier claimed on social media that she had used drugs. She posted a photo of a hotel lobby, stating, “This is Conrad Hotel in Manila. I am facing a threat to my life,” and asked for help.

An explosive statement followed. She said, “In an attempt to avoid a drug trafficking incident, I left behind all my luggage and bags and did not take Korean Air, and I am confessing to using drugs in the Philippines.” Kim Na-jeong immediately deleted the post.
However, it quickly spread online, and some netizens reported Kim Na-jeong to the police, resulting in her being questioned upon her return. Kim Na-jeong was born in 1992 and has worked as a weathercaster, reporter, and announcer on several broadcasting stations.
She gained recognition after the 2019 Maxim Contest and has since appeared in various entertainment shows.
