ENHYPEN released a Q&A to commemorate their comeback.
On the 11th, Belift Lab opened the Q&A in celebration of ENHYPEN's 2nd full album repackage 'ROMANCE : UNTOLD – DAYDREAM'.
The theme of this album is "daydream." It conveys the story of realizing a greater love through the absence of "you." The paradoxical emotional shifts are expressed as a daydream.
The new songs include 'No Doubt' and 'Daydream', alongside 10 tracks from their 2nd full album.
The title track 'No Doubt' will showcase ENHYPEN's restrained sexiness. 'Daydream' is an urban hip-hop track, with unique whisper raps characteristic of ENHYPEN.
Heeseung expressed his thoughts about the release, "We added songs that deal with deeper emotions than the previous work" and asked for anticipation. Jake mentioned, "We refined and stylishly expressed each track in ENHYPEN's way."
In short, the new album is flavorful. Heeseung teased, "The richness has been enhanced. You will feel diverse enjoyment in music, music videos, and performances."
Attention has been paid meticulously to performance and vocals—a standard for ENHYPEN's acclaimed performances. Sunghoon said, "We worked a lot on researching how to sing during the recording process."
He further explained, "We added nuances to the voice like scratching or whispering to see where to emphasize so it doesn't sound bland."
A key point of the title track 'No Doubt' is its choreography. Sunghoon said, "The dance move where you put your hands in the back pockets is impressive. I hope many will watch and imitate it."
Recalling his first impression of 'Daydream', Jay shared, "I was convinced it would offer me fresh enjoyment," adding that it's a genre ENHYPEN hasn't previously explored.
Lastly, ENHYPEN stated, "You can look forward to this album," and pledged to be artists who can be a source of pride for ENGENEs beyond their trust".
Meanwhile, at 6 PM on the 11th, ENHYPEN will release the repackaged album.

Q. How do you feel about the repackage release?
Heeseung: We've been running non-stop this year, and I'm thrilled that we can quickly return to ENGENEs (ENGENE, fan name). We've added songs with deeper emotions than our previous work, so please look forward to them.
Jake: We've prepared hard to present unique songs and performances. We've refined each track in ENHYPEN's way with sophistication and coolness, so keep an eye out!
Sunghoon: Every comeback excites me with anticipation for fun activities. Following this activity, I'm excited to show a variety of performances, even at year-end stages.
Q. How would you describe this album in one word?
Heeseung: Flavorful. The richness has been intensified. You can experience diverse enjoyment across music, music videos, and performances, making it an album that will captivate ENGGENE's hearts.
Jay: Challenge. It contains different genres, vibes, and concepts from what ENHYPEN has shown so far.
Sunoo: The ultimate hidden card. Since it's an album released before the end of the year, we poured everything we've been saving into it. The impact of the new songs is strong.
Q. What aspect did you focus on before this comeback?
Jungwon: I wanted to be told, "You're good on stage," so I focused on preparing performances. The choreography is especially cool, and it seems it could show the charm of ENHYPEN that ENGENEs desire.
Sunoo: I researched a lot on how to sing during recording. To bring out the nuances of the lyrics, I scratched my voice and whispered, contemplating where to emphasize so it doesn't sound monotonous and can be vividly expressed.
Ni-ki: Since it is an album that continues from 'Romance: Untold' (ROMANCE: UNTOLD), I thought conveying the line of emotions was important. I focused on practicing this aspect and hoped the effort would communicate well to listeners.
Q. What is the charm point of the title track 'No Doubt'?
Jungwon: I thought it was a good song right from the first listen. It's a song where you can comfortably enjoy retro sensibility with a kitsch and clean mood. I hope you can feel our matured aspect.
Sunghoon: This song has a choreography where you put your hand in the back pocket, and it's impressive. It isn't easy to do this pocket move instantly, but I hope many people will watch and follow it.
Ni-ki: The straightforward lyrics are charming. Especially, there's a lyric, "You're my answer," which literally signifies, ENGENE is my answer and the answer to everything. Please focus on that lyric!
Q. What was your first impression of 'Daydream'?
Jay: 'Daydream' gave me the certainty that it would offer fresh enjoyment. It's a genre ENHYPEN hasn't delivered before, so I am more excited about how fans will receive it.
Sunghoon: I was happy as it seemed we could try something new. Riding the hip-hop rhythm was difficult, but we repeatedly practiced to capture the song's feeling.
Ni-ki: There were many great songs including 'Daydream'. 'Daydream' is a genre we hadn't tried before, and although I worried about how to express the whisper rap, I wanted to challenge myself, so I chose this song. Other members thought the same too.
Q. What is ENHYPEN's undeniable strength?
Jungwon: I want to point to communication with fans. I think communicating with ENGENEs is the most basic, and I always try to express my feelings. So, I'm trying to communicate and empathize with ENGENEs more.
Jay: It's passion, I think. None of the ENHYPEN members give up on anything, and due to our personalities, we can't stand letting things go.
Jake: I think the year-end stage ENHYPEN presents is undoubtedly a strength. We always strive for great stages, and among them, we think 'year-end = ENHYPEN', so we're preparing even harder. Don't doubt us and look forward to it!
Q. Looking back on the year 2024?
Heeseung: As ENHYPEN grows, I think there have been many changes for me. I feel like the musical limitations have decreased, and it's been a year where I feel like I'm a step closer to the dream I envision.
Jake: I think I accomplished a lot of what I planned this year. My goal this year was to meet ENGENEs a lot. We were able to show our stage to many while touring the world. I want to continue this momentum and finish the year well.
Sunoo: It was a meaningful year as there have been many achievements with ENHYPEN. I want to finish 2024 well, doing well in our 'Romance: Untold – Daydream' activities.
Q. Any words for the fans waiting for the comeback?
Jungwon: I had various experiences while preparing for this album, and each time, meeting ENGENEs gave me strength. I want to express my gratitude for feeling the love from ENGENEs. Let's spend this winter together with ENHYPEN, following this activity and all the way to the year-end stages!
Heeseung: Both 'No Doubt' and 'Daydream' have a charm that makes you listen endlessly once you start, so please look forward to them. We plan to show many activities until the end of the year, so please watch over us, and let's spend a joyful year together next year too.
