The movie ‘Miss Granny’ is being reborn as a drama after 10 years. KBS-2TV’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Miss Granny’ (written by Heo Seung-min, directed by Park Yong-soon) announced its airing schedule on the 5th. It will be broadcast as the follow-up to ‘Face Me.’

‘Miss Granny’ is a coming-of-age romance based on the movie of the same name. It tells the story of a grandmother in her 70s who returns to her youth and experiences her prime time once again.

The cast lineup has also been revealed. Actress Kim Hae-sook will play Oh Mal-soon, a character who takes care of her livelihood by running a soup restaurant after her husband’s death. Jung Ji-so will take on the role of Oh Doo-ri, a character who navigates between her 20s and 70s.

She joins Eunice Entertainment with the dream of becoming a singer and becomes an idol trainee. Jinyoung will portray Daniel Han, an idol-turned-producer who became famous as a genius planner but faces a crisis when he meets the secretive Oh Doo-ri.

Lastly, Chae Won-bin will act as Mal-soon’s granddaughter, Choi Ha-na, a top student who gives up college entrance exams to become a trainee at Eunice Entertainment.

The production team stated, “It depicts the tumultuous growth journey of Oh Doo-ri as she starts her second life as an idol trainee. We will maximize the charm of K-content.”

Meanwhile, ‘Miss Granny’ will premiere next month.
