Ahn Yujin from ‘IVE’ is presenting an OST for the Kakao webtoon. Ahn Yujin will release the webtoon ‘The Great’ OST ‘Dreaming’ on the 12th at 6 p.m. She plans to captivate listeners with her sweet vocals.
‘Dreaming’ is a dreamy pop ballad genre. The gentle piano and guitar melodies are impressive, complemented by Ahn Yujin’s unique clear and cozy tone. A representative expressed anticipation, saying, “Ahn Yujin is the leader of IVE. She is prominent in all entertainment fields, including vocals, dance, and even variety shows.”
They further emphasized, “She is loved by global fans for her bright and positive appearance. Like the title ‘Dreaming,’ it will convey warm and lyrical emotions.”
The lyrics were participated in by the original author, Kwang Jin. It delves into the destined love of a girl with many dreams, a heartbreaking farewell, and reflections as a mother who raised two siblings.
You can encounter poignant lyrics such as “The ring you put on my finger / It’s no longer on my hand / The lingering feeling at the end of our vibrant day / I will protect it.”
Author Kwang Jin stated, “I wrote the lyrics to convey the protagonist’s feelings to the readers. I hope it touches fans who cherish webtoons and music.”
‘The Great’ portrays the ordinary yet great life of Yoo Bora. It garnered attention for the combination of Kwang Jin (writer) of ‘Itaewon Class’ and Jimin (illustrator) of ‘Navillera.’ It was praised for its moving narrative.
It won the Jury Chairperson’s Award at the ‘2024 World Webtoon Festival’ hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Seoul Metropolitan Government in September.
A representative said, “We hope the project between ‘The Great’ and global K-pop representative Ahn Yujin will be a refreshing joy for fans who love webtoons and K-pop.”
