The drama ‘Twelve’ (directed by Kang Dae-gyu) has completed the casting of the Twelve Angels. ‘Twelve’ is a series inspired by the Eastern zodiac signs. The genre is a fantasy action blockbuster. It tells the story of twelve angels living in human form in the human world.
The Twelve Angels aim to protect humans from demons. When the evil forces try to awaken their sealed powers, the Twelve Angels engage in a massive battle against them. The leader of the Twelve Angels is played by Ma Dong-seok. He portrays ‘Taesan,’ the tiger angel with absolute power who protects the world.
In the past, cows, rabbits, sheep, and rooster angels were sacrificed in battle, and Taesan deeply mourns them in his heart. He lives in the human world, concealing his identity.
Seo In-guk plays the angel ‘Wonseung,’ who symbolizes the monkey. He is a nimble tactician aspiring to become the next leader after Taesan. Lee Joo-bin transforms into ‘Mi-r,’ the dragon angel.
Mi-r lives with sealed powers alongside the demons from a battle thousands of years ago. Go Gyu-pil takes on the role of ‘Don-i,’ the pig angel. Don-i is a nurse at a traditional medicine clinic, showcasing unexpectedly agile movements in battle.
Kang Mi-na appears as ‘Gangji,’ the dog angel. Although nimble like a fighting dog during battles, she is an angel who never lets go of her desire to protect humans.
Sung Yoo-bin introduces the role of ‘Jui-dol,’ the rat angel. With quick judgment, he plays an indispensable role in the activities of the Twelve Angels. Ahn Ji-hye will showcase spectacular action as ‘Malsook,’ the horse angel.
Rookie actress Regina Ray becomes ‘Bang-ul,’ the snake angel. Bang-ul is a doctor practicing ancient medicine, curing humans of all ailments. She diligently cares for her colleagues when they are attacked by demons. Sung Dong-il has been cast as ‘Marok,’ the manager of the Twelve Angels.
Marok is the only human chosen by the gods. He stands by the Twelve Angels, assisting them in protecting the human world. Park Hyung-sik becomes ‘O-gwi,’ the demon opposing the angels. O-gwi, symbolized by a crow, reemerges after unleashing the powers that were sealed for millennia.
He plans to threaten the angels with his formidable evil powers. ‘Twelve’ is in full production with the aim of airing next year.
